It’s Mother’s Day and The Cracking Crab is open again!

With Mother’s Day this Sunday, we’re all hoping for sunshine, daffodils and a chance to sit outside in the spring weather, but whatever Mother Nature has on the cards, the good news is there’s coffee and cake in abundance.

If you haven’t checked out the updated look at Sailor V, treating mum to one of the new smoothies from her perch on the new high-top table (up there on a pedestal where she belongs) seems like a good place to start.  Then again, nothing says ‘Mum, I love you’ quite like brunch, making avocado on toast a good way to earn a few extra brownie points.

At The Winking Prawn, breakfast continues to start at 8.45am with a full English at the ready and an abundance of toast and jam - surely there’s no better way to start the day before a walk on the beach at North Sands?  We will have our finest florals on the table, and for those heading down for the weekend from other parts of the world, you will be pleased to know that the daffodils are out and making our pretty home by the sea even prettier to celebrate all the mums out there.

Finally, (drum roll please), with spring in full swing, The Cracking Crab threw open its doors again on 21st March and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone back to our beachside home in Polzeath, heralding the start of a new and happy season.  For those heading down either this weekend or in the coming weeks, we can’t wait to see you.

In case we don’t see you on the day, Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
